Privacy Notice

Who I Am

RareKind Studios is the trading name of Jack Boarer, a web designer based in Chichester, West Sussex. I'm responsible for any personal information you give me through this website. You can contact me about privacy at jack@rarekind.uk.

What I Collect

When you fill in the enquiry form, email, call or message me, I collect the details you choose to give me. That is usually:

  • your name, phone number and email address
  • your business name and website
  • details about what you need

If we work together, I also keep records of the project, such as quotes, invoices and correspondence.

How I Use It

  • To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote, which is needed before we can agree to work together.
  • To build and look after your website, and to invoice you, which is needed to carry out our agreement.
  • To keep the business and tax records I'm required to keep by law.

I don't sell your information, and I won't add you to a mailing list.

Who I Share It With

This website is hosted by Netlify, which also receives enquiry form submissions on my behalf and may store them in the United States under appropriate safeguards. My email is provided by a third-party email provider. I may also share records with an accountant, or where the law requires it.

How Long I Keep It

If an enquiry doesn't lead to any work, I delete your details within 12 months. If we work together, I keep project and financial records for as long as HMRC requires, which is currently at least five years after the relevant tax return deadline.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your Rights

You can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I don't need to keep it. You can also object to how I use it. Just email me and I'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
